The goal of targeting, automation, and greater reach is to organically grow your readership. To do so, your visitors must come to your website solely because of their interest in your content.
Other social networking sites generate users who visit your blog in the hopes that you will reciprocate. This limits your growth and potential. There are only so many blogs you can visit. The key to a successful blog is to attract and retain loyal and dependable long term readers.
Unified Social Media can help. First, rather than publicizing your content to other bloggers we market it directly to their readers. Since they are end users, they will visit your website only because they are interested in your content, not because they expect you to return in kind. Second, we simplify and automate the process of sharing your content, so you have time to focus on your writing. Third, we implement technologies to target your links to those readers who are interested in what you have to say. Finally, we do not offer any incentives for clicking on any of your links.
Unified Social Media’s unique approach helps ensure that every click is genuine, and every new visitor interested in your site.

Unified Social Media implements a number of automatic and manual checks to make sure that all users are abiding by the Terms of Service and displaying the link sharing widget on every page of their blog. In general we try to provide an environment in which all users have the proper incentive to properly publicize their friends’ links, as required by the TOS. The following are important parts of creating this environment:
1) Automated Checking Prior to Website Approval. Unified Social Media checks to ensure that the link sharing widget code is installed on a user’s website before it is approved. None of the users links will be promoted until the widget is installed on the user’s website.
2) Ongoing Automated Checking of Individual Posts. Every posts that a user submits via their RSS feed for sharing on Unified Social Media is checked for the link sharing widget code. If the code in not present, the post will be blocked from being shared. Only blog posts that contain the widget code will be distributed through the user’s network of websites.
If you find that one of your blog posts has been blocked, log in to your account and click on the Blocked Posts link on the My Account section at the top left of the page. Here you can select the posts you would like to un-block and re-check them for the widget code. If the widget code is found, the block will be lifted and your post will be publicized through your network.
3) The Social Networking System. Members should connect only with members that behave fairly. You should hold the people you are connected with accountable. If you see that someone is behaving unfairly with regard to how they display their friends’ links, let them know. If they do not change, consider dropping them as a friend. This will help everyone adhere to established standards of fairness, and make for a more vibrant community.
4) Unified Social Media Manual Checking. We manually check websites to ensure they meet our standards and properly display the link sharing widget.
Unified Social Media implements semantic analysis to intelligently place your links on web pages that contain related content. We analyze the content of your blog post as well as the content or your friends’ web pages. Our technology then assesses the similarity topics discussed in both pages with the aim of displaying the most related links. The goal is to show readers links to content that is similar to the content they are reading, and thus increase their likelihood of visiting your site.
